Hello and thank you for the new fresh look for me that is of Ephesians. In Eph. 4:25 the LEB says "putting aside the lie." But the NIV, NASB, KJV, ESV, and NET I always use for a cross reference, says "put away falsehood." But now that I see in the Nestle-Aland Greek "τὸ ψεῦδος" “THE LIE.” For me “THE TRUTH” is critical to know our position in CHRIST and knowing that if we do not know our true identity in CHRIST, we are going to be open to the lie. As you know, the TRUTH of the belt of TRUTH must be identified as the context of the book of Ephesians so that we can put on the rest of the armor of GOD.
NOW my question is why did you translate this verse “the lie” as opposed to “put away falsehood”?
Thanks again!
