Hi guys, for that of you who are not full time in ministry, what is your dayli "Bible study" rutine? Just for inspiration. I have big problems with morning time, so I usualy spand some time with God when I get home from my job and then at evening. Mostly just read some devotionals, Bible, sometimes prepare some sermon + praying. (sorry for my english I am not native speaker)
- Hi guys, thank you. I know it is possible and I tried it for couple of months. Reason why I stoped was, because I was then more tired during the day (less focused, etc). Normally I woke up at 6, but I have problem with fall asleep (it take me few hours). I normally go to bed around 10pm, but often cant fall asleep before midnight. But thank you for your tips.
- Hi Josef - here's my testimony. When I realized (still working on it) that the outcome of my day and all the plans I made are completely subject to God directing my every step. I prayed HE would wake me in the morning when HE thought I should get up and commune with HIM. So now in probably 10 years I have read through my Bible 13 times. Now I'm doing it 2 times per year. In valuable to that is the ability to highlight, make Verse Lists and Note Books on specific topics. Those are mine, and I can find the any time. That ignited my drive. And there is NOT a disciplined bone in my body. Just read God's word. Period.
- Hey Josef, Mornings can be tough. If our God is tapping on your heart to spend some time with Him in the mornings, then ask Him to assist you with this. Try 5 or 10-minutes in the morning. Be consistent. It takes 30-days for a habit to be formed. After awhile you'll be amazed at how He helps you spend quality time (and even quantity) time with Him. We all got 24-hours every day--let's continue to figure out how we can best spend our time with Him and His world!
