What follows is some information about joining our website. When it comes to controlling the website, you might think of it has having four levels. The administrator (that would be me for the time being since I'm setting up the site), is the one who sets up the website and controls who can make changes to the site, and who can post messages. (1) An administrator has complete control, in that he can make changes, invite people to join, etc. (2) A moderator can do almost all of the above, exceptions being some of the technical parts. (Right now it is set up for Pastor and Phillip) Each of them can add content and post messages. (3) Members are those people who ask to join our site--not necessarily but for the most part, members of Trinity Baptist. But you may have close Christian friends who attend another church or live outside the area, particularly former members now miles away. They can join as members and post messages on the News feature. (4) Guest or the Public can view our website and read posts but cannot use the features for anything but reading. Anyone who has our website address can see the site. Our hope is that people looking for a church either to join or to find as a place to visit while traveling. Please help us spread the word. Simply have them drop me a note at brantontm@hotmail.com and I'll be happy to send them an "invitation." You may have noticed that the site asked you to create a profile page. You may answer as much or as little as you like.

There was one more item I wanted to comment on but cannot figure out just now how to edit. So, I'll just send out a "reply" to myself!!! Once you join as a member and fill out the profile sheet, the site generates a directory. For instance, right now I have 6 members in our directory. With my profile, since I listed my wife's name, she is one the directory under my name. This allows those of you who use cell phones to have a separate number from your spouse. I encourage you to fill this out so we can instantly print out a directory for those who need it--like new members (me). Although I have been a member for about 6 months or so, there are many of you that I only know by sight, don't know you last name, cannot connect you to others in the church, etc. Having a directory allows new members to learn who we are more quickly and that knowledge gives assurance to a person that they are now a part of us.

Sure would be nice to correct spelling! It should be "she is on the directory." Maybe one day I will learn to read things after I write them, especially when they are going public.
