This week in our worship we will focus on the goodness of the Lord. Throughout the Old Testament in the Bible, God’s people exalted him for his goodness, saying “For He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” (see Ezra 3:11 for just one example) In the New Testament, we see God’s goodness made manifest in the person of Jesus Christ, and it is the good news of Jesus, the gospel, that Scripture says is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. (Romans 1:16) So we take up the theme of God’s goodness this week, opening with the song Good Good Father, hearing the gospel message of God’s goodness in Titus 3:3-7, and then singing a response of praise withKing Of Kings.
Following our special Kids’ Time with Marcia Jarrett, Pastor Andrew will dig deeper into what the Bible says about the divine attribute of goodness with his message “God Is Good.” We will respond together in song, declaring God You’re So Good, and conclude with prayer, Giving, and a Benediction. If you have a prayer request you’d like to share this week, please email it to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.
Remember that attendance is limited at our in-person services right now, so you must register if you’d like to attend.
