Please pray for my mother. She had surgery on a bed sore that tunneled and got infected and now has a 5” x 2” x 1” gaping hole in her buttocks at the end of her spine. She is at our home on Cape Cod and my sister is here helping with the wound care and rehab. By the human eye this seems impossible to heal, but we know our God is able. We don’t know his plans for her future, but it doesn’t seem to be her time to go to Glory yet. In March she had a viral infection that put
her in the hospital and then into a nursing home for rehab where after 8 weeks
they deemed her “unrehabable”. My sister brought her here and she
rehabbed for 5 weeks and went home to assisted living. 2 weeks later she
fell and went to the hospital to be checked out. She didn’t hurt herself
in the fall but they found a hernia. When they went to do the fairly
simple procedure they found a tangled mess and a cancerous tumor on her colon
and removed it along with 12” of intestine. There were no signs in the
blood work that the cancer had spread to other parts of her body. She
came here to rehab and when she went back for follow up after 2 weeks the
surgeon was shocked to see her walk into his office - he was convinced she
would not survive. The hospital stay after that surgery is where the bed
sore grew and this new process started. Please pray for God to intervene
once again and heal this wound and to give her strength in her body and mind
for the next leg of the journey if he chooses to keep her here longer.
Thank you.

- Praying for you, your mom and family!
- What a road this has been for all of you. Praying for Mom's healing and strength, and for you and Larry to have the strength, flexibility and patience you'll need in the days ahead. Thanking God for your sister's availability and willingness to be here as part of the team!
- I’ll continue to pray for you, your mother, and your family. May the Lord our God make a way for healing and rest. “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”” Psalms 92:12-15 NIV https://www.bible.com/111/psa.92.12-15.niv
