2020 has been a year for sure. With just a little over a week until Thanksgiving will be here many are wondering what to I have to be thankful for this year. Many find themselves stuck inside and lonely from the virus. Many are hurting over the division in our country. Many fear what the future will hold. What do I have to be thankful for this year. The answer is a lot. I want to challenge us today to stop and at take a look at everything that we have to be thankful for.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever.” Ps 136.1
Instead of seeing all the bad, I choose to give thanks to God for giving me:
Thanks for giving me a beautiful wife and daughter
Thanks for giving me a wonderful church that I get to serve as pastor
Thanks for giving me wonderful friends and family
Thanks for giving me more faith and growth this year
Thanks for giving me your great love
Thanks for giving Jesus to die on the cross for my sins
Thanks for giving me a hope for my future in a place called heaven
Thanks for giving me all the wonderful gifts that you have given to me awesome God
Thanks for giving me breath to wake up this morning and see this beautiful day.
Thanks for giving me the ability to write this challenge today
Today and this week as we get ready for Thanksgiving, I want to challenge you to make your own thanks for giving list so that you too can see all the wonderful things that you have to be thankful for.
Thanks for Giving
