Writings

Rick is the general editor of the Lexham English Septuagint, published in November 2012 by Logos Bible Software. He is the translator and editor of The Apostolic Fathers in English, which includes a reverse interlinear analysis, and was also published in November 2012 by Logos Bible Software.

In 2016, the Appian Way Press published Rick’s Lexical Commentary on the Pastoral Epistles: First Timothy as well as Second Timothy: Notes on Grammar, Syntax, and Structure. These were published for Logos Bible Software in late 2016 and early 2017.

In March 2013, Logos Bible Software published Rick’s edition of the Greek Apocryphal Gospels which consists of two volumes: Greek Apocryphal Gospels, Fragments, and Agrapha: Texts and Transcriptions, and Greek Apocryphal Gospels, Fragments, and Agrapha: Introductions and Translations.

Rick also edited and translated the Apostolic Fathers Greek-English Interlinear and has served as an editor for the Lexham English Bible.

Rick published an article on the Greek conjunction αλλα in Discourse Studies and Biblical Interpretation: A Festschrift in Honor of Stephen H. Levinsohn. He also compiled Historic Creeds and Confessions.

Rick writes the “Thoughts from the Church Fathers” column for Bible Study Magazine. A sample of the column (from the Revelation issue) is available. His current research focuses on the use of authoritative material (canonical and noncanonical) in Second Clement.

Reverse Interlinear Work

Rick edited The New International Version English-Greek Reverse Interlinear of the New Testament (1984 and 2011 editions), The Lexham English Bible English-Greek Reverse Interlinear of the New Testament, and An English-Greek Reverse Interlinear of the Apostolic Fathers.

Papers

Rick has presented at national meetings of the SBL and ETS as well as at BibleTech, the Bible Technology Conference. He recently (Feb 2012) presented a paper on Greek Syntactic Analyses at a symposium in Leiden, the Netherlands. Copies of all of these papers are available at his personal web site.

Rick’s Role at Logos Bible Software

Rick manages the Content Innovation department at Faithlife. His team is responsible for annotation of original language data (morphology, syntax, discourse), reverse interlinear textual alignments, and creation and analysis of Bible data.

Rick resides in Bellingham with his wife, Amy, and their children, Ella, Lucas, and Josiah.
