What is the difference between being an observer, follower, or member? Thanks!

Great question, today we could find all three in a church or Body of believers or in this study. Observers are either defining the commitment and cost, or trying to convince their conscience they are involved. (tough Statement). Members hopefully have signed on to participate, support, and obey the directives of the organization be it religious or Secular. ( generic statement). Follower-for me it can be defined only in reference to Christ. I have been asked; are you a fan or follower. The difference? A fan knows all the information of his/her interest such as baseball or volleyball star, but it is only head knowledge. A follower walks in the footsteps, obedient to the Master, sacrifices self for all others, serves continuously, Communicates and communes with the Redeemed.John 14:15. Pray for me that I can be this follower. "Movingup"

Mrs. Spennetta, You may be asking, degrees of interest with-in the group, High Definition Bible Study. The drop-down window generated by Your name says You are not a member of this group. I would say You are no less than an observer. I guess a follower might get some type of e-mail notifications. I just now, noticed three different classifications at the bottom of this post; 199 members, 957 followers, 33 observers. Perhaps you are not an observer. Perhaps you got here from the Logos Bible Software home page. Look at the sign up page and see.

Co-membership in a group creates a strong affiliation between the members, where posts to 'My Faithlife' (or a post made without selecting a group) are visible to each other. Members can also see who else is a member of a group. You can think of co-membership like people you'd invite into your living room. Following a group enables people to keep track of a group, but not have a strong tie beyond the group. Posts to 'My Faithlife' will not be visible to people you share a group-follow relationship. Be default, you also can't see who else follows a group. However, administrators of a group can see who the followers are. Think of this relationship like the people you know from the grocery store. Observers are more anonymous, where admins can not see who observes a group.
