Titus 2:9-10 is an exhortation for servants on how to be a good testimony: "Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.”
Oh, how often I read through God’s Word and breeze by things that I think apply to others-but God meant for me. Certainly this verse is meant for those who work hard and serve a employer or master. They are supposed to be faithful, true and hard workers-not wasting their time, etc. But, Oh, why do I not apply this to my Christian life? Am not I a servant of God and should I use my time purloining (misappropriate/steal) and not be a faithful servant for my Lord as I should?
“God help me today to be that faithful servant who does not purloin and is faithful to you in all things even simply with the time you have given me. You certainly are worthy as our Great Master of all!”
