Our PTL election results are in! Emily Raub is our newly elected PTL president, and Robin Lambert is our newly elected secretary. Our other remaining officers are Josh Tutweiler at vice president and Mandy Schaffer as treasurer.
Two other people who volunteer considerable time towards our PTL efforts are Jill Guidice, who coordinates our restaurant nights, and Mike Riddell, who coordinates our ShopWithScrip program. You can read further down in this edition of Eagle Info to find out more about upcoming opportunities to participate in these programs.
One of the biggest PTL events is our biennial spring gala that includes dinner, entertainment, and both live and silent auctions. This year's spring gala theme is Havana Nights, and it will be on April 22, 2022, at the Gaslight Manor in Aurora.
Our PTL is working on other plans, as well. Prior to the pandemic, we held parent information nights, regular meetings, and fellowship events. We are looking forward to starting these things again in the near future.
The purpose of Immanuel's PTL is to foster and promote a better understanding and a closer relationship between the school, the home, and the church, so that parents and teachers can more effectively work together in communicating, educating, and financially supporting the best possible Christian education at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. All PTL fundraisers support the Christian education of our students. Past fundraisers have helped provide curriculum materials, technology upgrades, teacher training, classroom carpeting, musical instrument storage, assemblies for students, and many other needs. We are all blessed by these efforts. If you have ideas to share with our PTL, please do not hesitate to contact someone in the school office, and we will pass your suggestions on to the PTL officers.
