I agree; it's convicting! I wouldn't say I like to acknowledge the "little King Herod" in me, but of course, it's there. I loved the encouraging scripture this chapter ended on (and of the worship song): "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit in me" (it's a constant exchanging of my thoughts for God's thoughts) I'm enjoying this advent study. I agree, ladies! What a challenge for us not to attempt to please God with our flesh, but to ask him to creat in us a clean heart and a steadfast spirit.
