Please keep Sharon in your prayers as she will start the next phase of her cancer treatment tomorrow morning at 8:45 am. She will get a shot that contains two antibody medications instead of the longer infusions she received while getting chemo to treat the HER2+ markers of breast cancer. Her treatment will be once every 3 weeks for a year to ensure this marker is no longer present. She also will have a CT Scan on Thursday to map and mark area for radiation therapy. We met with Radiologic Oncologist Thursday and Sharon will still have 25 to 28 radiation treatments. These will be Monday through Friday. However she needs to heal more from surgery before she can start radiation. These treatments have been part of Sharon's care plan from the beginning and should be less taxing on her body. Please pray that she will have no side effects or reactions to the medication from either treatment as Sharon's body has not fully recovered from surgery and chemotherapy. Please also pray for healing from surgery and complications that are present to resolve. We are so thankful for our church family and how much your prayers lift us up. God has answered our prayers in amazing and wonderful ways. We know he will continue to strengthen us as we start this next part of treatment as his timing is perfect.
- Suzanne and I will continue to remember Sharon in prayer. Praying specifically for her recovery from surgery and for the remaining procedures to be effective and uncomplicated.
