“30“I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.” (Ezekiel 22:30)
God looked for just ONE person who would remain loyal to Him
so He wouldn't have to destroy Jerusalem. He found no one!
I wonder if everyone thought someone else would stand up in a crooked world thinking, "Let them take the heat."
In our world of ethical, moral, and even intellectual confusion; in this world of angry people who have turned away from godly practices, He is looking for people who will stand with Him. He is looking for people who will stand with Him against the tide of public opinion.
The question you can see coming is convicting: "Will you be one who "stands in the gap?"
