“14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)
Because Jesus is on the side of the believer, we are to hold firmly to the truth and come boldly to the throne.
Bold means confident, not arrogant. For some reason, the concept of boldness has turned into almost a bullying mentality. It's that "don't mess with me" mentality. This is the exact opposite of what God commands. We are to be humble, teachable, compassionate, and consistent. Arrogant is the opposite of all those things.
Come boldly to the Lord. Know that He will answer you and do what is best in your life. As you come boldly, do so humbly.
