just read the '09 piece, God does not demand sacrifice. great stuff. I am amazed at how much I am inundated by the blood sacrifice language, even in a moderately liberal congregation. people praying to the god, Jesus, thanking him for dying to wash away our sins. Whatever happened to Tillich's "you are accepted" ?
