- Thank you to everyone involved in bringing The Unseen Realm to life. What an excellent film! May the Lord bless you all and protect you always.
- I did wonder why this would be billed by Logos as "uncovering what the Bible really means" when it's merely more interpretation, some speculative, and hardly incontrovertible. We're all trying to understand as best we can, but I can't recommend this film.
- I have been constantly thrown about by critical reading of the Bible in context and "new perspectives" etc. But I must admit that in the end my "first love" remains and my knowledge grows. At firts sight I need to admit that Paul Foorest 's comments are valid. It certianly seems that way. But that is taking this movie on its own merit. In my view, Michael Heiser is an excellent scholar, and I am very glad that he decided to focus his scholarly work on the "Unseen realm". something most scholars would not have undertaken. literary walking where "angels fear to tread" in accademics. It helps in it's fallible way ( all interpretations and study of any scholar) us to better understand the cutural and contextual "Story line" evidently in the minds of Paul and Peter. The mythical influences, like looking through Paul's Mirror speak to reality, through we can barely glipse from prehistorical writings somethging that is only partialy made known to us. No movie can do justice to a written book; neither can a book reflect on all the hard labor that went into the study. Let alone the scrutiny that took place of the scholarly rigor that underpin this study. Mike's work is not mere quick rebutles to retoric on social media. Nor is it "click bate" to sell books. I did not know if I would spend my hard earned money and spend my time to buy and read (criticaly) his work. and if that is the purpose of this movie, then it has suceeded in getting my attention. To seriously use his work as a reference to understanding the mindset of those that wrote the bible. And in the end see what canot be seen.
