Christmas is all about the mysterious arrival of Jesus. What makes his birth such an amazing occurrence is that he became fully human while remaining fully God. We call this mystery the incarnation. Why do we hold this doctrine? Aside from the bible itself, there is no other work that has influenced the churches adherence to the doctrine of the incarnation in the same way that "On The Incarnation" by Athanasius has.
