When Jesus washed his disciples feet at the Last Supper, he wasn’t just performing a kind service for their dusty, dirty feet. He was the leader and teacher of those early Christians, but he humbled himself to take on the role that back in those days, would have been done by a servant. His sacrifice of himself on the cross washed away our sinful dirt and grime.
During this Holy Week, in our Grade 1 and Mrs. Nelson’s Preschool class, our teachers washed the feet of their students to symbolize Jesus’ act of humility and sacrifice.
