King David obviously taught Solomon the importance and value of wisdom. Maybe that is why when given the choice to ask God for anything he wanted, Solomon asked for wisdom to lead Israel. God was so pleased with Solomon’s request that He gave him “a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has ever had or ever will have!” (1Kings 3:1-15) God even gave Solomon what he didn’t ask for - riches and fame. Solomon’s wisdom was so renown that even the Queen of Sheba came to visit him as she heard of his wisdom. Proverbs was written by King Solomon so if you are looking for wisdom, Proverbs contains a wealth of it. Get wisdom and develop good judgment. In fact getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do as Solomon states here. It’s Sunday all! What better place to get wisdom than at church! See you all there! 😊💗
