There were several people in the Pharisees house the night the sinful woman came rushing in. Several others who were casually sitting around the table, in the presence of the Creator....
In the presence of Manifested Love,
sitting face to face with the Savior of the world.
Yet, this one woman was the one who really saw Him,
and threw herself at His feet.
What did she see, that the others didn't see?
What caused her heart to know Him?
They were all in His Presence.
They were all there
with Him.
Yet her heart was open.
And she saw.
There were several thousand people standing in the desert that day as the cloud came up on the mountain....
But only Moses went into the cloud
instead of shrinking back.
What was in Moses that caused him to go forward
and not back?
There were several others in the boat with Peter that day.
There were others that saw Jesus walking on the water.
What was in Peter that made him get out of the boat to move towards Jesus? What made him even think He could walk on water?
What was in Joshua and Caleb that made them say 'we got this!' when all the others only saw the giants?
What was in Simon and Andrew to drop everything and follow this man after He spoke just one simple sentence?
What was in Zacchaeus to instantly turn his life upside down at the very idea of Jesus coming to his home?
They saw Him.
They saw with different eyes.
They looked with their heart, not their head.
They saw with their spirit... Not just the flesh.
They had eyes to see......
Holy Spirit, my prayer today is that we will have eyes to see. We will pause and look deeper.
I ask you to help us truly see each other...like You see us.
I pray we will have eyes to see You
in every passing moment
