BI201 The Story of the Bible

Hi All, I'm just listened to segment 8 "Genesis 1 its historical and literary context." The Speaker says under the subsection "The Historical Context of Genesis" "And then spoke as the Creator of the world that He wanted them(Israel) to be the instruments by which He’d bring back the whole of the creation." What does he mean by, "bring back the whole of creation." Would obedience to the law, the complete conquering of the land and Israel becoming a blessing to the nations have brought back the order of the first days of creation? .
