Passage: 1 Corinthians 14:1-25 Big Idea: Though tongues and prophecy have ceased, God still calls His people to prioritize truth that builds up the church over experiences that serve self. Main Points: 1. Pursue love & desire spiritual gifts (v.1) 2. Contrast between tongues and prophesy (v.2-5) 3. The necessity of Intelligibility (v.6-12) 4. The call for Interpretation (v. 3-19) 5. A call for maturity (v.20-21) 6. Tongues, prophesies, and the effect on outsiders (v.22-25)
