Hey everyone, I’ve been running into a bit of a headache lately. I use a few apps for my freelance projects that don’t natively support Google Drive, which means I have to download files first and then upload them again. It’s eating up so much time, especially when I’m trying to juggle multiple clients. Is there a smoother way to just connect Drive directly to apps that normally wouldn’t work with it?

Sometimes it amazes me how much small workflow changes can boost productivity. Even just having one tool that eliminates a few repetitive steps can turn a frustrating afternoon into a smooth session. I’ve also noticed that organizing files properly beforehand can make a world of difference, even if the apps themselves aren’t the most cooperative. Just keeping things tidy and predictable can save more time than you’d think.

I ran into the same problem a while back when I was switching between a few older apps that didn’t have native Drive support. What helped me was using a WebDAV bridge for Google Drive—I found this tool that basically lets you mount your Drive like a regular network folder. I ended up using webdav to google drive https://mac.eltima.com/google-drive-to-webdav/ and it’s a game-changer. I can now open and save files directly from apps without extra downloading, which saves a ton of time, especially with bigger files.
