In His prayer for the disciples, Jesus acknowledges the tension every believer feels—living in a broken world while belonging to a holy God. In John 17:11–19, He doesn’t ask the Father to remove His followers from the world, but to protect them, sanctify them, and send them into it with purpose. This sermon unpacks Jesus’ call to a distinct, set-apart life—not isolated, but intentionally engaged. We explore how God keeps us, shapes us through His truth, and commissions us to shine His light in places that desperately need Him. We are here on purpose. We live in the world—but our identity, values, and mission come from the One who has set us apart.
