From Speech to Stones
Acts 7:51-60 and Acts 8:1-8. It is the story of Stephen's death by stoning as a result of his trial by the Sanhedrin on false charges of blasphemy. In this passage of Scripture, Luke also tells us that this act of religious persecution plants the seeds of the Christian movement that spreads throughout the Roman Empire.
