Waiting is not only a part of our experience of the Christmas season, but was experienced by the maji and Mary & Joseph on their journeys to Bethlehem. As we read the first advent account in the Gospels, it is easy to miss thier experience of waiting while God is working in the background for their good. God prepares His blessings and His plans for us—often out of sight, often beyond our understanding, and always in love.
