John starts his book by making a radical claim, the way you make sense of life and the way you truly experience life is by knowing and believing in the person of Jesus. 1st) God's Word is precious because it gives us access to him. 2nd) God's word is provoking because it reveals distance between us and God. 3rd) God's word is personal because Jesus came as God's word for you.
