Alone and Struggling - 08.02.2026
We tend to treat being alone as a negative time in our lives. In this passage of Genesis, Jacob is alone, but he is not lonely. Spending time alone without the influence of the day’s demands can help you focus on who you are, where you are, and who and where you want to be. It is an opportunity to look up from the path and see if you are still going in the direction you set out. And as the destination gets closer and easier to see, if it is still where you want to go. Genesis 32:22–32; Genesis 25:24–34; Genesis 27:34–36; Psalms 30:5; John 8:12
