In Children of God: Confident at His Coming from 1 John 2:28–3:3, Pastor Jim teaches how John calls believers to abide in Christ so they can stand confident and unashamed when Jesus returns. This sermon explains the true identity of a Christ follower: loved, adopted, transformed, and saved now, not someday. Even though the world cannot understand the identity of God’s children, Christians live with the sure hope that when Christ is revealed, the saved will be like Him. Pastor Jim encourages believers to remain steadfast, pursue righteousness, and stay ready for the return of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a present reality, and the evidence of it is the Christian’s ongoing pursuit of Him.
