I have an interesting question--at least, I'm interested in the following question.
Background I used to teach Greek at Gordon-Conwell for several years. I am thinking about trying out teaching how to read the Greek text via a video series. I want to have the Greek text displayed ( verse/sentence at a time) with certain words highlighted (about which I want to describe the grammar, and vocabulary) and then the next video frame would highlight another word (with the same purpose) etc. Until I work through the whole verse/sentence and start on the next.
My question is, for those of you who teach such things, or other things:
what piece of software is best suited for this project.
The software needs to give me great flexibility and control over the timing for the voice track underneath to co-ordinate well with the displayed text for those watching.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
- Depending on what your finished outcome will be, you could use Camtasia. You can splice in video clips, show the screen text, and then do callouts to highlight or magnify certain texts.
- You might ask Mark Futato what he uses for his Daily Dose of Hebrew. Example: https://dailydoseofhebrew.com/scripture-passage/nehemiah-4-1a/. I think he does this within Logos with some additional software to capture his markings and audio.
