Hi just took the plunge and signed up to Logos 7 C/P bronze package.
Not gonna lie, as a first time Logos user love the software but I'm totally lost as to how best use it, nor can I understand how to discern what content is from my bronze package specific for my denomination and what is generic content.
I'm also finding that the software assumes knowledge of theological terminology which is also a little daunting.
The QuickStart guides are helpful but it looks like I can only access them from within the software which isn't helpful when I am in a place where I don't have access to Logos.
It kind of feels like the Proclaim tutorial support is more robust when compared to Logos
- hey thats great thanks!
- You're welcome! As for identifying books, these shared collections are helpful for tagging your resources by theology/denomination.
- Hi Ian: Try to get acquainted with the different search operators: WITHIN, NEAR, and also the use of milestones. https://wiki.logos.com/detailed_search_help https://wiki.logos.com/search_help Then start thinking of topics that interest you to search your resources. I started with a Pentecostal n Charismatic package, then because of particular resources, got some packages from other traditions. When searching for particular topics, I give more weight to Charismatic input, but I have found out that many good insights and helpful information comes from other traditions also. In your base package there will be resources from other traditions, and instead of finding out what belongs to which, is better to do searches, and just quickly look at the different angles from which the subject is treated, retaining what is good and useful. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/132861/863603.aspx#863603 Hope this is helpful to you. Blessings.
