Kindle & Logos Library - Hack, but Anyone Interested in More?
In my 2500+ book Logos library, I've got great books for targeted research. By and large, they are tomes I will never read cover to cover. However, I also have a small collection of these that are excellent books that I do want to read cover to cover - like this month's $1.99 deal "Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes" by Kenneth Bailey (an excellent book by the way! Because there are some books that I want to read word for word, I was so sad when Amazon took away the ability to send books to the Kindle - as I'd much rather read on the Kindle then on my phone, tablet, or computer.
I was thrilled to figure out recently that I could use the Experimental Browser on my Kindle to login to www.biblia.com and read the books there. While I can't highlight, it's a much more pleasant reading experience.
What that had me wondering is if there might be some enterprising coders out there that would be interested in working on a project similar to Reabble.com. Reabble takes a Inoreader account and uses the browser on a kindle ot make it kindle friendly with touch zones for the next article, the menu, etc. I'm wondering if something similar could be done that takes the book from Biblia.com and creates zones for turning the page, going to the table of contents, going to the library, etc.
Any thoughts? Anyone interested in seeing what it might look like to tackle?

- Hi Phil Gons (Faithlife), what is the Logos web app? I don't use a smart phone or tablet, only a Mac laptop. Does the Logos web app run on an Apple laptop? Thanks.
- Eric Seelye, the Logos web app (https://app.logos.com/) is our attempt to bring Logos Bible Software to the web browser. It is aimed primarily at desktop and laptop computers. It will run on tablets as well, but tablet users will likely prefer our iOS or Android app. It will also run on phones, but our mobile app will be a much better experience on small devices. We're anticipating serving multiple audiences with it: 1. Those who don't like downloadable software or prefer not to deal with downloading of updates and indexing. 2. Linux and Chromebook users who can't run our Windows or Mac app. 3. Those with older computers that can't run our Windows or Mac app with decent performance. 4. Those with insufficient storage to install Logos. 5. Those who want quick access to their tools and content when away from their main computer. It's available for now only to Logos Now members (https://www.logos.com/now) and Logos Cloud subscribers (https://logoscloud.com/), but we plan to bring it to a broader audience in the future.
- Wow, that sounds great Phil Gons (Faithlife), I'm looking forward to it! Presently, when I'm at work, I use Bible.Faithlife.com which gives me access to my library, but I miss many of the features of the full program.English Standard VersionCLASSIC REFERENCE BIBLE CROSSWAY BIBLES A PUBLISHING MINISTRY OF GOOD NEWS PUBLISHERS WHEATON, ILLINOIS The Classic Reference Edition, English Standard Version® (ESV®) Copyright © 2001 by Crossway Bibles, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers All rights reserved.
