Follow- I am confused between "Churches", "Groups" and "Teams" in Proclaim. It seems that our "Proclaim License" would be related to one Group (church?) and teams would be under that group. But as you can see in the images below we have the same things listed as both Groups and Teams. I've watch video and read FAQs and can't figure it out. Is our configuration messed up? Can someone please explain this to me? And what does Closed and Secret mean in teams Thank You.
- Sorry for the confusion. Essentially, teams are groups, so that is why you see them in that flat list of groups. However, Teams are more focused, and are typically 'under' a group. If you click on your church, you will see you have teams in the sidebar. And in Proclaim, the teams menu at the top will list your church name and then show you your presentation teams. So yes, the church group is what owns your license, and then under that you can have as many teams as you want. So you can have a presentation team for your main service, one for kids, youth group, etc. We also have 'worship teams' which are where your songs are stored. And you can create additional ones as well. Secret means no one can see your group at all, unless they are in it. Closed just means no one can see anything in it without being invited, but the could see it exists. Typically, presentation teams are closed as you do want people to see it for following presentations. If you changed it to secret, Proclaim will actually warn you that things like Signals won't work correctly.
- Has anyone connected Proclaim to Bitfocus Companion software and used midi to trigger Companion to send commands to other devices such at PTZ Cameras? Is that even possible?
- Richard Huss - Thank You very much. I can't wait to put this to work. Have a Blessed Easter. He Is Risen!
- Thanks so much - something for you to try *after* Easter! There's bound to be some bugs in there, but it will be good to have some other people trying it out. He is risen indeed, alleluia!
- After multiple graduations around the country I finally had time test a bunch of scenarios last week and just one button last Sunday. Worked great. Will try a few more next Sunday before I decide to replace my current way of doing things. Setting up new buttons is way faster and keeping my head wrapped around old ones is easier, especially in Ableton Live. The best part is having access to more than 32 buttons on a page. Thanks a ton Richard Huss!
- What devices, besides lighting, can be controlled with MIDI signals. I am a complete newbie to MIDI. Any info or links to information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
- I'm wont to integrate MIDI into the audio, but NOT the lighting; they've LMX-128 and DMX-512 for that. At 胡桃江市日系基督教會 Japanese Christian Church of Walnut Creek (CA, USA), we've a BEAR of a time to upgrade our security system, our video (for remote on-campus view), and our lighting: Molly Burke inspired me to integrate accessibility as a part of our new lighting. Which reminds me: 篠田乃室 ShinoDa Hall REALLY needs a dimmable LED retrofit. Narrow floods, narrow spots, house globes, ye name it!
- Hey Jason, if you're getting that deep into automation I recommend you look at the Bitfocus Companion App which allows a much more granular control over the automation. https://bitfocus.io/companion. Here's a video of what I was able to do with it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-sY_GN2FY0&t=1491s&pp=ygUnaHlicmlkIG1pbmlzdHJpZXMgdGVjaCBmb3J1bSBhdXRvbWF0aW9u

Hey Dave - I am already using it as well. Use it to control presets and scenes of our PTZ cameras as well as macros on our ATEM and quick triggers for all the above mentioned presets. It is a wonder remotely. I can control our entire service remotely Audio and video using Bitfocus Companion. Its great! - We do also have it available on a streamdeck as well. For me - the signals in Proclaim work well with audio because not only am I a one man media team but I am also the Worship leader :) - so while Im on stage simply moving to the next slide in proclaim can trigger what I need via MIDI. Once I am back in the booth I do use automations and presets with Companion to control audio video and proclaim.
- Our church is in need of a new PC badly. we have a member who wants to donate funds towards a new PC. Has anyone seen any good Black Friday specials for a PC that will work with Proclaim?
- Joe Jenkinson, Thanks for the pc info. I've upgraded memory, hard drives and graphic boards on a few PCs but never built one from scratch. It will be a new adventure. Do you have a favorite source(s) for parts? Blessings.
- Hello Lee, My main source is Amazon. I also use Newegg for price matching. Doing the upgrades you have done will help, however there many You tube videos that will help. One source is a kid name Greg Salazar. And there are others. Blessings.

I'm providing for Microsoft® Windows® 11, as the requirements dictate it: LOGOS® Proclaim® is only compatible with Windows and apple® Mac OS®. No LinUX for now.
- Is there a way to easily find my own older posts in the forum? I don't see a search or sort that enables me to do that. Thanks.
- There is a search box at the top of this page, Lee Cline. Here are the results I found: https://faithlife.com/proclaim/activity?search=Lee%20Cline
- Sometimes when I insert a video into Proclaim it goes in rotated 90 degrees. It appears it does that when the video is shot in a landscape format. How do I get it inserted without the rotation?
- If you click on Background, there is a rotate option, Lee Cline.
- Well now, that would be easy! Thanks very much for the reply.
I've loaded Proclaim to a new laptop so I can edit while on the road. How do I link that laptop's new install to our church account so I can start using it? Thanks!- Should be able to sign into any Faithlife account that's in your presentation group. This capability is one of the main reasons we moved over to Proclaim - there's really nothing else out there that handles sync and collaboration as well as Proclaim does. I'd imagine this is also really valuable for anyone in a portable church.
