About
Redemption Seminary provides quality theological education at an affordable price for all Christians wherever they are.
Quality
Quality means education that is highly relational and personalized to each student’s gifting and context. This means that professors are refocused from lecturing (now provided through recordings) to individualized mentoring.
Quality also means that education is relevant to the student’s calling and context. We believe schools are made for students, not the reverse. Degree requirements are kept minimal to reduce the amount of contextually irrelevant coursework for students. Students choose their programs and mentors according to their needs and contexts. Assignments connect with the student's current Christian life and service.
Finally, quality means that all students are well-resourced. Students are provided a theological library curated for each degree program. Since the library is digital, all students, no matter how remote, have equal library benefits. A strong theological library is the core of every program for every student and used in every course. This library is gifted to all graduates.
Affordable
It simply isn’t responsible to expect people to enter the ministry with school debt. Part of good stewardship means that the seminary is committed to maximizing efficiency and automating nonrelational processes. Savings are passed onto the student in the form of an affordable total cost for their education. The total cost is transparent (including all books, materials, fees, etc.).
To serve all Christians from diverse theological traditions, Redemption Seminary seeks partners. It freely shares successful educational models with other seminaries. It seeks to partner with churches, and can provide additional revenue streams to them as they use their own staff to train their own members. Such a distributed approach will improve theological education across the board and around the world.
