- I'm confused -- I seriously thought I already owned everything that was included in "Logos 9 Fundamentals." Apparently I missed something. I opened the "Resources Included" and found one (1) resource which I did not own: "An Introduction to the New Testament: Contexts, Methods, and Ministry Formation, 2nd ed." The price was $44.99. (Not a bad price, so I bought it and added it to my library). So, here's my hangup -- I got a "recommendation" for Logos 9 Fundamentals, for the great price of $99.99. However, comma, the *ONLY* resource in the Fundamentals was a single resource for $44.99. WHY?? Why, oh Lord, should I pay an extra $55 for a collection I already own most of, and which for $55 less than the collection price, I can own the entire collection. This isn't the first time the prices on Logos.com haven't made sense to me -- I have made several other purchases in the last few years when a resource I want. I then see that that resource is available in a collection I don't own. Why would I pay the higher price, even as offered on a "special" price when a collection I don't have has a significantly lower price? And *NOW,* now that I own every resource in the Logos 9 Fundamentals collection, is it not saying "already owned?" Blessings Dale
- And, just like this: Oxford Bible Series (3 vols.) $ 99.99 Resources included: Introducing the Old Testament $30.99 Prophecy and the Biblical Prophets $33.99 The Poems and Psalms of the Hebrew Bible $29.39 Total value if sold separately: $94.37 Ok, I was interested in "The Poems and Psalms of the Hebrew Bible" for $29.39. I'm told it's available in the Oxford Bible Series. Then I see the great discount price of $99.99 (Collection value: $106.97) However, adding up the per each cost of the three resources, I come up with two figures, but the lowest would be a "collection value) of $136.85 for the digital price. I'm not sure who's falling down on the double checking of the data on the website, but I do submit that a recheck is in order (and yes, I know, that's going to be a *HUGH* task). Dale
- I am sorry to hear of your frustration. I may be mistaken, but I do not see a record that you have bought this product. As an experiment, I just purchased it, and I did then see the message that I already own it. I can see that you have purchased "The Poems and Psalms of the Hebrew Bible" as an individual resource, but that is not included in the Fundamentals product. I think what may have happened is that as you looked at the information about the titles included in the Fundamentals, you also saw information about similar and related titles, and you then made a purchase based on that information. I think this also may explain the seemingly contradictory prices that you viewed on some titles. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact us at 800-875-6467 or at customerservice@faithlife.com.
- Joe, I don't think I ever bought the "Fundamentals" package (why would I?). Collapsing the contents to hide the products I already own, I see this: Resources Included Hide owned resourcesExpand all Collapse all Partially included Value if sold separately Total value if sold separately: $0.00 I own everything in the package. I also read: "Dynamic pricing is not available for this product. For more advanced features, see Logos 9 Starter or Logos 9 Bronze" Since you can see what I own, you will see that I own: Logos 9 Portfolio Anglican Portfolio Lutheran Diamond Methodist & Wesleyan Diamond Orthodox Diamond Verbum Platinum Verbum Eastern Rite Gold Verbum Ordinariate Gold Logos Academic Professional Verbum Academic Professional Full Feature Upgrade Everyone of these packages says it "Includes all Logos 9 features" Joe, what in the world is there out there in the world of Logos 9 as a feature set, or more to the point "Fundamentals" that I need to buy to make this $99 price box go away??? In fact, the ONLY thing on the entire list that I wonder about is "All the songs in the Bible." It has an asterisk next to it, which means "* Your purchase includes this resource, which isn’t available yet. " However, comma, that product must have been released because the resource "All the Songs in the Bible" in my downloaded library is dated 2021. Umm, maybe the asterisk needs to go away on the Fundamentals page -- maybe that will make the $99 offer go away. :) Blessings -- have a great weekend Dale
- Just an observation -- there are a couple of these I would love to have, and I'm just not interested in the others. Wish we could break up this collection -- I can't afford to buy it all, for just a couple
- I don't know if you're still using Logos, but responding from the future in 2022, I can now see in "resources included" each individual title (with use of dropdown menus). There are also links "learn more" which will take you to the sale page of the individual volume. Many of these are on sale this month for just 4.99 so I'm generating my own list of individual titles and small collections that I'd like to purchase before end of the month if possible.
- I have the hard copies of The Ten Commandments, Canon and Creed, and The Sacraments. I've been waiting, most patiently, for these superior resources to show themselves in Logos. I'm delighted to see that they will soon be part of my digital library
- Westminster John Knox has just released a 7th volume that needs to be included in this set before it is released in Logos format. "Money and Possessions" by Walter Bruggeman seems to be a "must have" for multiple reasons, but not the least of which is that it's by Walter Bruggeman which speaks volumes without saying anything more. I would invite your attention to this promo piece from WKJ themselves http://www.wjkbooks.com/Content/Site117/FilesSamples/294459MoneyandP_00000024611.pdf
- It could be tempting, however comma -- I'm afraid it's going to be out of reach for me. What I'd *REALLY* like to see is a list that shows "what's new to you" as they did when Logos 6 was released. Show me what I already own and what I get for $850. My monthly payments are already at the limit to what I can justify for most purposes. Now, if there was something exceptionally interesting to me, and that I could use in my ministry, I'd have to think about it. But I just know up front that most (certainly, not all) of the resources from Zondervan and Thomas Nelson don't fit my theological bent. So, I'm going to be cautious about this.
- I asked customer services for I list of what was new to me. I received a very response.
- Ah "good things to come those who wait" (an English phrase extolling the virtue of patience) -- blessings to whomever first said that :) I preordered the NIB in January 2011 -- that's over 3 1/2 years ago. But, now with the NID (Dictionary) and soon to have NIB, I'm getting close to having my digital library where I have dreamed of for over 20 years. Thank you Logos, for hanging in there with us, and thanks too to Abingdon for coming on board and working with Logos (and thanks Bill N. for your persistence in making that relationship come to pass). Now, if we can just get some more of Abingdon's resources brought into Logos . . . Blessings Dale
