- Father Ray Brown was a man of deep love of the Scriptures. He was not a fundamentalist, so if your convictions tend to a seven 24-hour day creation and full Mosaic authorship of the Pentateuch, he may be troubling for your predetermined views. On the other hand, he is credited with being a great influence on Catholic biblical scholars and in bringing responsible and prudent aspects of the historical critical methodologies into greater awareness and acceptance into the Catholic Church. His "Death of the Messiah" is one of the most thoughtful and careful readings of the Passion written in this past century. And he was a friend of mine, and may God rest his soul. Deacon Rick Bauer
- Very nice! Well done, Logos! I normally use reference works with insights on a particular passage, peppering my slide decks with "Insights from the Ancients" based on Logos Early Church resources. Nice to be able to have such a collection. Hope you will continue to add to it, or make the template easy to modify and add to for our own customization. Great to see Logos thinking a few steps ahead of our needs.
