- Yes but this is searchable digitally. It’s more useful than a print copy.
- I think you mean that the abridged single volume has a MSRP close to that, but for the full set of 10 volumes you are going to pay about $350, unless there was a special sale price a few years ago. This is a good price for a really good resource, and one in which you are going to appreciate the logos lexical linking. In print format it takes up a whole shelf. The only better theological dictionary out there is the NIDNTTE, and that leans to a great degree on the content of the TDNT (in a few places the TDNT is still better). The NIDNTTE is also offered on Logos at a pretty fair price, if slightly more expensive than the TDNT.
- Like Joshua pointed out, that's for the abridged version. You can also get the abridged version on here for only $39.
- Listing the publication date as 2002 is misleading in my opinion. I understand this was re-published at that time, but it is a 100 year old set of books. I wish Logos put out this type of free-domain material at a much cheaper price. I understand they have overhead to cover but assuming they paid nothing for this work, I’d assume they could get it to the consumer for cheaper than $90 on pre-order especially since you can read it in PDF for free!
- People, have some charity. If you think the price is high, buy individual books, then load them onto your FREE software. Stop accusing Logos of being greedy. You are being foolish! If you do not like the books, then buy other books. There is a plethora of available resources and if you think Logos is liberal etc. you have obviously not perused the selection at even a cursory level. Stop complaining, do your homework, and praise God for this invaluable resource. -a happy user of Logos 7 (standard package)
- True, but why is it not possible to simply upgrade. Why does one need to be forced to get all those "great" resources and then pay for that? Even in the days of upgrading from Win XP, Vista, 7, etc. I paid way less for a whole operating system. And then, of course, the interesting fact is that both Bibleworks and Accordance do not follow such a model. And that's, I think, exactly where I am going to head now.
- Be not dismayed, fellow Bible nerd! Logos 7 is free! https://www.logos.com/ways-to-get-logos (click option 3 at the bottom)
