Welcome to our family known as Saturday Encouragement and we hope that something will be said that will draw you closer to God and remind you of the redemption that we have through Christ’s atonement so that we may be used for God’s purpose of bringing glory to His name through worship, praise, prayer and the spoken word. We welcome you in the name of Christ Jesus and are happy that you stopped by to join us. Shalom, Rev. Roddre' Y. Massey
  • A question, in Paul’s letter 4:5-6 “be wise in the way you act toward outsiders: make the most of every opportunity , Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone” what is meant by seasoned with salt ?
    1. Bro. Nicholas, The Apostle Paul in these verses to the Colossians and us is reminding us the believers of how we are to speak to the unbelievers when it comes to evangelizing. Therefore, when we share the Gospel with others, we are to speak what is spiritual, wholesome, kind, purposeful, loving and thoughtful to them in regards to how the Gospel has transformed our lives and how it can theirs as well. Secondly, he uses the example of salt because it is known to be a flavor enhancer and purifying agent and just like salt so should our speech/witness be to the unbeliever (season with salt). In other words, our speech should not only be a blessing to others but it should also have a purifying influence on those that we share the Gospel with. God bless you sir and thanks for the question. Shalom
  • Good morning family and I trust you are well and elated to see another day. As we enter into this new day and I encourage you to focus on the Peace that we have through Jesus Christ. We were once considered an enemy of God when we lived in accordance to the world but now that we are redeemed by the blood of Christ; we are at peace with God. God bless
    1. Greetings my siblings in Christ Jesus and I trust you are doing well. Family, I ask that you lift up this weeks service and our guest speaker Pstr. ValKeith Williams as he prepares the message. May we all gather with the expectation to hear a word from on High and be encouraged through it. God bless each of you and may we seek opportunities to serve our Great God daily. Shalom
      1. Blessed new day family and it is wonderful to be alive. I pray that all will have a wonderful and blessed day in our Great God. I want to remind you that God loves you and Jesus gave His life for you so that you can live freely in Him. May we go forth today in the freedom and hope that has been purchased for us through His atoning blood. Shalom
        1. Good day Fam. I was talking to a few friends this week. All of them including me, resonated what is now called as "pandemic fatigue". Initially, there was pandemic fear. Now, there is fatigue - Exhaustion. This is a world wide phenomenon. I'd like to encourage all of us to pray for each other for strength during these uncertain times. We will see the end of this. We will come through to the other side of this. Keep spreading hope and strength. Keep smiling. Keep praising God. Stay grateful. "But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 NKJV. Much love. Shalom.
            1. Family, this video is all listed under the contents tab under videos. God bless

Good day my siblings in Christ Jesus. John 10:10-11 KJV tells us "The thief cometh not, for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep. Family this is one of many passages that shows us how much God and Christ loves us. Who do you know right now who would give their life to save yours? I know of none other but Christ Jesus and He did it to fulfill the Father's will and to express the Father's love towards us. Therefore, if no one else loves you, God and Christ surely do. Shalom
            1. Amen
          2. Psalm 73:23-24..... Nevertheless I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterwards you will receive me with honor. I went to sleep last night with you reminding me of your love, dear Lord. I awoke this morning knowing you were with me . Your presence is my comfort at all times and in all things. To know that I will never be parted from you is my greatest gift in life.
            1. Psalm 118:8..... It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. Who do I call first in a crisis? Is it you my Lord? I know it's not bad to call on others to support me when I'm in trouble or struggling in some way, but people are limited in their understanding, wisdom, power, and resources, and you are not. Help me "practice" seeking refuge in your everyday challenges of life, so I'll be in the habit of calling on you when the most startling and troubling events occur. There is no one else I'd rather have as a support and refuge, dear Lord, than you.
              1. Thank you Rev. Jones for this passage and it speaks to me. God bless
            2. Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. There was a time in my life when I tried to read your Word, and it just didn't mean that much to me because I didn't understand it. But Lord, the longer I've walked with you, the more precious, meaningful, and essential the scriptures have become to me. Thanks for giving me the comprehension to receive your truth. Please continue to open my understanding to the things of your Spirit--the things written in your Word--that I may walk even more closely with you.
              1. It is so amazing how God reveals more of His word to us when we take the time to read and study. Thank you Rev for sharing again!
