• Healing prayers for Jonah. Claudia Schwarting has just let us know that Jonah will be flown to Children's Hospital in Omaha from Kearney. He has had chest pains with intermittent fevers for the past few days and will be admitted to the cardiac ICU.

    1. Byron Podtburg is getting his stitches out today and is feeling much better. BJ also is doing better with her ears. Still no date for their return to Bellevue.

      1. George and Kim Embrey's friend, Rob, who had started with kidney stones which led to a four way bypass early this week, had a pacemaker inserted today. He has a long recovery road ahead, but is one happy and lucky man. He will probably stay the weekend at Clarkson, but then will be off to a rehab facility and then finally home. Prayers for him as he starts this new way of life.

B. J. Podtburg asks for prayers for her cousin, Brianna, who has cancer and for a classmate of hers whose wife was killed in a car accident. The classmate walked away from the accident without serious injuries.   Johnna Poarch had a joy that Jon and Vanessa will be celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary on October 7th .   June Ethridge asked for travel mercies as she heads to Illinois to work on some UMCOR Mission projects. She also reminded people that the UMW Rummage Sale will be held on October 22nd -23rd .   Mamie asked for prayers for the families of Dr. Terry Sullivan (dentist) whose funeral service is tomorrow and for Carl Diver and his family for his son, Brett, whose service will be on Oct. 9 th at St. James.   Jim Carlton asks for prayers for his sister in Clear Lake, Iowa who lost her husband to heart failure last Friday.   Mike and Janet Wilberger ask for prayers for their Aunt Irene, who will be having a procedure done on Oct. 5th   . R. and Paula Warak had a joy – they celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on October 1st .   Virgil MacDonough asked for prayers for the family of Xavier Harrelson. Xavier, 11, went missing last summer and the authorities have found what they believe to be his body near Montezuma, Iowa.   *Prayers for safe travel for Gary and Mary Alice Spivey who will be going to Pittsburgh on Friday to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family.   Debbie Whitworth asks for prayers for their 20-month-old grandson – he hasn’t grown taller or gained weight in the past 4 months.   Gayle Christensen asks for prayers for her parents as they navigate through the trials and tribulations of growing older.   Linda Strominger asked for prayers for her son, Jason. He will be seeing an eye specialist as he has an issue in the back of his eye.
