Stephanus Karnadhi
- This is confusing, faithlife should correct this. In the overview it is stated "Already well-known in its two-volume first edition" .. giving the impression that this is the third edition, and then it is stated "a fourth edition is .. for puchased" and give you the link to the third edition of 2003!
- I have asked for this to be corrected. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
- the third volume of Psalms is bundled with Exodus & Chronicles, and not for sale individually. Why do we have to have Exodus and Chronicles when we only want to complete our Psalm commentary?
- The third volume on Psalms is available as an individual purchase here https://www.logos.com/product/166323/a-commentary-on-the-psalms-volume-3
- While its true that this book has new introduction and bibliography, in its own author's word: "This book is, apart from minor corrections, reprinted as it appeared in 1988. The author is aware of the changes in the field which have happened over the last ten years and which would perhaps warrant an almost totally new version rather than a revision of the original version. Nevertheless, from a methodological point of view the volume may still be considered the most coherent and up-to-date version of a History of Israel, and for that reason it was decided to change as little as possible." So, the presumptions are the same and all the arguments are the same as the 1988 edition, which are the old historical higher criticism.

- Can anyone please explain why the BHS has 2 Kings 18 until verse 46, while the LHI until verse 37 only? Thank you.
- I am sorry if I am misunderstanding your question, but I have looked at different Hebrew Old Testaments and English translations, and I do not see chapter 18 extending past verse 37 in any version, including the BHS.
