- I'm not sure which came first or if you need one to use the other, but, being by the same authors, this dataset seems like an integral part of the OTHER "New Testament Use of the Old Testament" for Logos (https://www.logos.com/product/55315/new-testament-use-of-the-old-testament). Five stars for each = TEN stars!!!
- I’m not sure how to utilize these datasets. Can you enlighten me?
- The "New Testament Use of the Old Testament" can be read from cover to cover on its own, but (and I can't find the exact wording in the product description I just saw!) I think you need the Dataset in order for the product to be searchable. (I'm wondering if the description page changes if you already own an item or if I'm just too tired to find the description I just read!) So basically, the dataset is a plugin that makes the main product randomly searchable. On the main page for "New Testament use of the Old Testament" (at https://www.logos.com/product/55315/new-testament-use-of-the-old-testament), if I scroll down to Learn More, I get a video demonstrating how to use it. I think it's definitely worth the $7.99 to make the main product fully searchable. (It also gives you the original-language option like a reverse interlinear, and you can switch between viewing the New Testament and Old Testament passages in order. It's really cool.) Hope that helps!
