• Why We Gather.

With so much going on in our lives, both positive and negative, why would we bother with gathering as a church? In this 4-week series (Sept./Oct.), The Table will investigate 4 reasons why the Church gathers. Using the church in the book of Acts as a reference, we will consider how we might find mutual support in a busy world.

      1. How Do We Love?

Jesus invites us in John 13 to "Love each other. Just as I have loved you," but how do we do this? This is the question for discussion this season at The Table. In this study we will look at the different "love descriptions" the Apostle Paul gives us in 1 Corinthians 13. In doing so, our hope is that we will grow in how we live out the invitation of Jesus.

        1. The Table is Meeting in Person Again

After a season of virtual gatherings, The Table is now meeting in person every Wednesday for worship at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (1720 Harris Ave in Bellingham). For the moment we are requiring all attendees to wear a mask. We begin our gatherings at 6p and end at 7p. We invite you to come early, between 5:30p-6p to visit, have a cup of tea, and catch up. We look forward to seeing you!

          1. The season of Advent is a season of waiting, expectation, and longing. We look around at the challenges of our world, and long for redemption. In this season we look back and celebrate that Jesus came into our world, while also looking ahead to the day when He will return and bring things to wholeness. Join us on Zoom as we enter into Advent, looking toward our hope, Jesus.

              1. Power

How are believers in the all-powerful God to relate to those in power? How did this all-powerful One use His power? How are we to use our's? In a season of such angst and contention, such questions are worth to consider. Join The Table in out conversations about power, God, and our role in turbulent times.

                1. Psalm 23 Meditations

Psalm 23 is a timely meditation for this season. The Table is therefore diving into a study of this guiding passage. If you miss our Wednesday worship gatherings on Zoom, or want to re-listen to Pastor Aaron's weekly devotion, check out our "Meditations" page. May you trust in Jesus, the Good Shepherd, as you navigate this season.

                    1. Lenten Series with Our Saviour's Lutheran Church

Join The Table and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church as we come together to reflect on the cross of Christ. We will begin each week with a shared meal at 5:30pm. In this Lenten season we ask, "What needs to die in our lives and world, so that we may live more fully in Christ?" We will reflect upon this through song, prayers, and meditations, with a service starting at 6pm.
