In general , this is a good commentary. However, I believe the authors comments are skewed by an overly favourable disposition toward David, and leads him to interpret passages that are clearly a warning to the reader as David doing completely reasonable or morally neutral things.

I echo other comments. We need to go a bit further for this to be useful.
