Brilliant! Combines solid exegesis, devotional inspiration, and practical spirituality. Originally published in 1998 so indulge me when I call it a classic or else trust me that it's not dated. I love the Messianic perspective and even though I lean arminian there was nothing I would not affirm gladly.

This is a wonderful translation. I'm enjoying reading it with the Jewish New Testament Commentary. It's helpful for someone like me who is so thoroughly gentile. Would love to have audio for the Complete Jewish Bible with (please God) an appropriate accent.
