Pastor
- I have this set in the WORDSearchBible program. I spent several pretty pennies over time to get the full set. I have used the POSB and the POSB Commentary series for sermon helps many times. While not a scholarly commentary, it is an excellent resource with very helpful sources not found elsewhere. I wish I could convert my WORDSearchBible POSB copy to LOGOS!
- Save the text in Microsoft Word and add them through PERSONAL BOOKS in TOOLS. It will be laborious.
- Tim I agree, I have been using POSB in Word Search as well. I guess LOGOS does listens to recommendations. I don't think I will buy in LOGOS.
- This is an excellent tool, although now a bit dated, being over 100 years old. Keep in mind that this book was 50 years before the DSS were discovered, much more until they were published. With "217 distinct figures of speech" there is much here that the average reader will have never before encountered, unless they are linguists. In a time when the most that even educated people recognize are metaphors and similes, 217 distinct figures of speech may be overwhelming and may seem to overlap significantly.
- This is a definitive work by many conservative scholars dedicated to their subjects. Even the later (1995) edition explicitly depends on this edition; going so far as to incorporate some of the 1915 articles whole-cloth into the new(er) edition. This work should be part of every pastor and every Bible student's libraries.
