Saw this on Facebook the other day. It made me think of Session 1 in our Daniel study when we learned that Daniel and his friends were given new Babylonian names. Names have meanings. Our workbook related this to the hype surrounding name brand products in our culture.

The Christmas Experience : Kyle Idleman : City On A Hill Productions
The Christmas Experience is a 6-week small group study that examines the Christmas story in detail, helping groups (and families) prepare for the Christmas season. Each episode will focus on how God chose each individual in the Christmas story for a specific purpose. Those participating in The Christmas Experience study will be able to find themselves in the Christmas story, as they learn that what happened then changes everything now.

Tuesday, Nov 12th, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Sleeper Public Library, Senior Center Room ** Why is Genesis so important? In this video Ken Ham uses news stories of recent events combined with Scripture to address today’s most pressing issues. Millions of Christians have decided that the Bible is out of date. They’ve decided that the words of Jesus aren’t always true. The Foundations series reveals the alarming state of Christianity today. Today, possibly more than at any time in America’s history, a culture detached from God and willingly ignorant of His hand in creation and world events needs Jesus. But the church is not nearly as effective in reaching the lost as it was only a generation ago. There is a foundational reason.....

So, we just read the assigned reading for today & then can share any thoughts about it?

Oh dear, Sandy! I was "reading" for myself. Not sure how that got posted! I was trying to post some charts on the end times views, but faithlife didnt support that media. I will bring copies of the charts to our study next week. I really need to figure this site out!

At least you figured out the bible reading portion. I haven't figured out how to do that yet. That's okay that the reading posted for everyone. It gives us a chance to explore the options on Faithlife. I am excited to see the charts next week.
