Unfaithfulness is one of the most outstanding sins of these evil days. In the business world, a man’s word is, with exceedingly rare exceptions, no longer his bond. In the social world, marital infidelity abounds on every hand, the sacred bonds of wedlock being broken with as little regard as the discarding of an old garment. In the ecclesiastical realm, thousands who have solemnly covenanted to preach the truth make no scruple to attack and deny it. Nor can reader or writer claim complete immunity from this fearful sin: in how many ways have we been unfaithful to Christ, and to the light and privileges which God has entrusted to us! How refreshing, then, how unspeakably blessed, to lift our eyes above this scene of ruin, and behold one who is faithful, faithful in all things, faithful at all times.”                                                                       Arthur W. Pink      Who are we putting our faith in? Society to inform us of right and wrong? Our own judgement when we don’t understand or pressured to follow social norms?  Are we telling God by our words or actions that He the creator of the universe is wrong? That we have head knowledge, but our hearts don’t believe, that we are putting our trust in ourselves? Or are we standing firm on the WORD of GOD? Are we as depended on the Word as a baby is to his mother’s milk? Are we dwelling the safety of the Lord?    Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,  “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me, as in the day of trail in the wilderness, where your fathers tried Me by testing Me, and say My works for forty years. Therefore, I was angry with this generation, and said “They always go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways; As I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest.’   Hebrews 3:7-11      Are we so different from the Israelites in the wilderness? They had firsthand sighting on the power of God. We have the power HOLY SPIRIT in each one of us who believes. And yet we still go astray, we still fear and revert to depending on ourselves and what the social norms for guidelines. We still test God.  Today, humble yourself, repent and believe again, trust again, be faithful to God and HE is to us. Let us rest in His presence.     “It is a trustworthy statement:  For if we died with Him, we  will also live with Him;  If we endure, we will also   reign with Him;  If we deny Him, He will also deny us;  If we are faithless, He  remains faithful,  He cannot deny Himself.                             2 Timothy 2:11-13

        1. Lord, we ask that you place your hand on David and heal this infection invading his body. Give him rest and a speedy recovery. Lord we also lift Lisa up to you, calm her anxiety and fears for David and herself. We know you have already brought Lisa through this valley and we know you can bring David and her out of it again.
