- REven reading the first line of the descrition for this product is painful,"Reflect on the Revised Common Lectionary with one of today’s greatest theologians—N.T. Wright."one of today's greatest theologians? hardly. why use superlatives to categorizea "theologian" anyway? likely not what was in mind w passages such as :16So the last will be first, and the first will be last”(Matthew 20:16). or, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" ( James 4:6).Logos Editor's, please don't use superlative adjectives to describe servants of the church and in so doing, tempt readers ever so subtly towards being recognized by people for what they do, God sees God knows and He will reward all who serve by His grace through faith alone. I realize they are but a few words but when I read them they cut me as purely carnal as they can be, not to mention Wright's " most noticeable work" has consisted largely of a questionable and controversial nature, greatest theologian? tears, tears, tears.
