• I'm not sure this can be easily fixed, if at all, but video background performance on windows + nvidia is in a rough spot. Often times while on air I'll have an item with a motion background in MOV format and the video will just glitch out and sort of restart itself. I recently purchased a blackmagic decklink to see if this can help remedy this issue instead of relying solely on my GPU. Could be an Nvidia or Windows issue with how videos are being rendered. I do know that the Use new Video Player option is still broken and crashing proclaim without fail so I can't use that option.
    1. It has always been my understanding that video files get transcoded to MP4 on Windows machines if you upload an MOV file, and . You are probably right when you say that it may be an Nvidia or Windows issue. Since Win11 video playback has been a mess. I would love it if the devs at Proclaim could find a way to use a different video player -- perhaps work with VLC media player and have a checkbox in the settings for that. I would say be sure your drivers are up to date, Kaleb, but I'm sure you've already done that. You could try disabling hardware acceleration? If a Macbook wouldn't have costed 2 arms, a leg and my firstborn son more than my current computer I would have switched -- Windows is turning into the toxic ****stew that Android was a few years ago.
    2. Yea I've done all those steps :( And since I'm a big gamer I'm usually up to date on the more stable driver releases too. I'm super close to asking my church if someone wants to donate a Mac Mini or something because these Windows issues are ruining my workflow experience.

I haven't uploaded mov files in 2 years or so. Ever since I was having these problems I quit rendering videos in the mov format. I tried mp4 format with the h265 codec and that also would freeze. So I have been making motion backgrounds/videos with the mp4 format and h264 codec. This has been stable for years, atleast it has for me. Yes I've hsd issues with proclaim and windows 10 media player freezing, but that hasn't happened for 7 months. I will try some mov video files tomorrow to see if I still have the problems since they get converted to mp4. This also depends on how long that process takes. Kaleb Kirton, are you rubbing windows 10? If so that may be your problem. I take my Alien 18 laptop (windows 11) to church as a backup unit. I do this due to the issue with windows 10 media player and proclaim. Windows 11 hasn't had these problems. I have fixed this issue also by saving the media files on the church computer, and then uploading to proclaim. Maybe some of this will help you Ron
  • Has anyone used an Akai MPK mini to advance slides to music in a service presentation? I am trying to doit and i am having trouble.
    1. I have not used any hardware in that way but I would love to know how you have it all connected so I may be able to provide assistance!
  • A little bug I have noticed recently is that in transition from the pre roll to a countdown, if we are playing music in the preroll, it will raise the volume a little before switching to the countdown. I think only us on the media team notice it, as it's not a dramatic level increase. Just enough to notice that it gets louder about a second before switching.
    1. Also happens during the service if you go to a new item while music still playing from the previous item.
  • I think it's been brought up and talked about a number of times, but I wanted to reiterate and bring back to the surface how helpful it would be to have a midi command category just for cueing up songs by index. Separate from the 'Service Item' index. This would allow other content items to be added into the service order last minute without messing up lyric/song automations that are currently tied to the service item number.
    1. Are we allowed to edit a lower third that’s already on proclaim? Like change the color?
      1. You can edit pretty much anything. As long as you don't upload anything back into proclaim as your own design you should be fine.
      2. If you can change the color from within Proclaim then yes. If you have to export the lower third and then make changes in Photoshop or other software then I don't think that would be right.

On Sunday, November 23 we noticed a strange issue with our music not playing on the pre service loop section. We checked everything and nothing is muted, and we haven't changed anything from what we've been doing each week. The "Warm Up" section where we have the countdown video works fine. Has there been an issue with this for anyone else?
      1. Thanks! I did make sure that I am up to date and our tech guy said the issue persists for our presentation computer (Mac Mini)
      2. can you try a video? Is all audio not working? So far, things seem to be working for us. Could it be something with your setup, like a soundboard issue? If you try another computer, is it working?
      3. We will do some testing this weekend and let you know! Thank you!
    3. I was wondering if there was a specific place for feature requests / suggestions? Quite simply, I wanted to ask if Faithlife have any plans / would consider creating a song charts / set management system for worship teams. There are a couple of systems available, but don't quite deliver - they 'nearly' use chord pro, but in the one case the flow command doesn't work, which is a bit tiresome as we have to clone the song to edit the flows manually. But the huge win is that it updates across the board without having to beam or email songs. Having used Proclaim for some years and appreciating the regular updates and developments, I don't think it would be a big stretch for you guys to create this system . I'd love the opportunity to discuss my thoughts & wishlist in more detail please. (This was the short version :-) )
    4. This thread is for "Bulletins". I find them completely useless. What am I doing wrong or what did I miss? I'm one to jump directly into the middle and must have missed something key about bulletins. Do you use the bulletins? If so, what is your use case and process flow to that use case after the bulletin is "published"? I've been meaning to ask the group for a while. I didn't know about sign posting before picking up on it here, now I love the thing! So maybe bulletins will be the same way. Thanks in advance for any help or tips offered. Blessings!
      1. , I tried some to edit the bulletin to something useful. Here were my challenges. I was able to delete, delete, keep, whatever for the whole thing. Click preview and the headers on the graphics went away. So, like anything like Date of event, etc. if it wasn't on the graphic, title went away and insufficient information resulted. So, I thought I would add a text section and put the date there. I can't get it to "move" up the bulleting. I can shuffle them around on the bottom, but I can't insert something like that into the middle of a service section. I was just fooling around anyway, just to see if I could get it to something I could email. I think I could do that by making accommodation in the presentation for the bulletin in the future. But, when I got it to as good as I could get for now, I decided to print to a PDF for potential mailing. At least in my case, I did not get what was previewed. I got just the sermon scriptures with some note pages. All of that to ask you how you extract what you send in your bulletin email? Blessings.

Great follow up questions! I'll try and get to these in order. 1. Think of the bulletin as an exact mirror of your Proclaim service from top to bottom. Whatever order your slides are in Proclaim... they will be in that exact order inside the bulletin. 2. Correct, the bulletin slide headers do not stay outside of edit mode. I wish they did so in fact I'll make a request in the logos feedback board. 3. >"So, like anything like Date of event, etc." This is a difficult case to work with, not to discredit any of the devs, but I feel there is a difference of generation philosophy here. Proclaim itself uses "Signals" per-service item to interact with other people following along on Logos owned mobile apps. Unfortunately these a lot of the time auto populate as the slide is being worked on as it can detect things like bible passages, web links, or dates and time. These override the slide graphic in the bulletin and just provide a plain text format or a click/tappable link that will take you elsewhere. For example say I put a bible passage on a slide that's just informational... well proclaim recognized the passage, auto populated a signal, and then overrode that graphic from the bulletin to provide a link to that passage on Logos. I have to manually go in and remove the signal on per-service item basis if I want the graphic to be shown in the bulletin. It can be frustrating but the auto creation of them helps those who aren't tech savvy. I don't know if there is a solution for this. 4. Can't move a slide "up/down" in the bulletin because its not moved up/down in the proclaim presentation. 5. My church just sends the website url of the bulletin via email that way a member just just open their email, click/tap the link and it'll open right up to it. It would look something like: https://faithlife.com/My-Church-Here/bulletins/0000001 Printing to a PDF seems to have broken in the last year or so. Probably a change with how the slides are rendered on the website compared to pre-2025. Lots of information I apologize. This first support link gives more in depth info on signals and the second on bulletins from Faithlife's perspective. Lots of quirks to work around but I hope this helps in any shape. lots of good info there. Thanks! Yes, the beautiful slides that contained the scripture were replaced by the Scripture references. I will definitely learn about these signals and how to remove them to preserve the format in the bulletin. I'll play with each bulleting the balance of the year and maybe mail them next year and see how it goes. I saw the link but wasn't sure if it would open without the edit function, etc. I guess I should have just pasted it into an incognito browser and seen what it looked like. I'll give that a try.

We have 2 presentation teams in our group & I'm wondering if there's a way for one team to use content slides made in the other's without having to save it as an image & then import it? Something like the song library
      1.  — Edited

That is only for uploaded pictures, it doesn't include slides (content slides)
      2. We have recently created three teams and the only way I have found to use another teams work is to download it then import it into the other team.
      3. That's what we've been doing. I was just hoping that since the Song Library exists for this very thing, maybe we had missed seeing the capability for content slides.
    6. We used to be able to fade my scripture slides onto our YouTube livestream via OBS and then back to a stage shot when we ran everything through one computer. Now Proclaim has its own computer in our booth and OBS and the Livestream have their own computer. Is there still a way to still accomplish this? Also, how do I add the new QR code for scripture? I was looking for a “generate” button.
      1. Yes, NDI can go over ethernet so you could setup ndi in Proclaim's settings and then on the OBS computer. https://support.proclaim.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/19864456649101-How-To-Live-Stream-with-Proclaim The new QR code feature is added with the button up on the right. And then you should see it render on the slide
