• I changed the settings in our OBS stream via NDI and inadvertently made it show the slide in front of the one which was being sent to the screen which the congregation see. We were able to quickly restore things so that the two outlets showed the same slide at the same time by restoring the original and then removing the background. My problem is that I don't know what I did to cause the problem and hence don't know how to avoid doing it again in the future. Can anyone enlighten me please?
    1. Hi , did you add a new Source to one of your Scenes in OBS? When you add a new source to OBS it always puts it in as the top layer -- I'm not sure that this behavior can be changed.
    2. Thanks Steven, I'm not sure that I did but that is an interesting fact. To explain the issue further: When we were in a song the congregation's screen was showing the first verse and at the same time the OBS stream via NDI was showing the second verse. As we scrolled through the congregation's screen then showed the second verse and the OBS stream via NDI showed the third verse and so on.
    3. I gotcha, -- if your NDI feed is missing a line space, then your 2 feeds will be off. I went into one of our songs and went to the NDI feed and took a line space out so you could see what I am referring to. Once I put the line space back in it was back to normal -- I learned this the hard way when we first began to do Lower 3rds via NDI.
  • We're about to do a couple of dramatic monologues and vignettes as a part of our musical presentation. I want the lyrics of course on the screens and our our confidence monitors. However, I would also like to include the lines for our actors to give them some cues along the way without showing them to the congregation. How do I do this? - words on the confidence monitor but not on the main screens... Thanks in advance for your help! DB
    1. Colin, I should like to be able to do this also but don't quite understand your reply. Could you elaborate a little more please.
    2. Thank you Joe, I understand now!
  • Hi All, We have two issues with Proclaim we have been experiencing during our Sunday services and wondered if there are any resolutions: 1 - sometimes during the service, all of our slides will go black for a short period of time. They will come back after a few seconds and then we have to reposition to the slide we were on when this happened. I suspect this is due to the synchronization process. Is there any way to disable synchronization for the duration of our service so this does not occur? 2 - we typically sing several songs from our hymnals during the service. We fill in the hymnal number (ie, "Blue #123" or "Brown #123" since we have 2 hynmals) on the song slide so the hymn number will appear on the title page and each lyric page so people can find it. However, the hymn number will simply disappear at random times during the service. I edit the song page and add it again but there is no guarantee the hymn number will be there when we get to that point in the service. Why does it disappear and how can I prevent this from happening? Thanks for your help! PK
    1. At 胡桃河市日系基督教會 of Walnut Creek (CA, USA), we've got TWO hymnals: Fred Bock et al., Hymns for the Family of God (Nashville, TN, USA: Paragon Associates (BMI), 1976). Tom Fettke et al., The Hymnal for Worship And Celebration: Containing Scriptures from the New American Standard Bible; Revised Standard Version; The Holy Bible, New International Version; The New King James Version (Waco, TX, USA: Word Music (ASCAP), 1986). So we've an alternate songbook besides the CCLI® SongSelect® Database.
    2. So sad to leave Proclaim. It’s just too expensive for me (rand vs dollar exchange). A pity that there is not a free version like logos has.
    3. I was thinking that after you edit each hymn, save and sync it manually. I know Proclaim does it automatically but it can't hurt.
  • We are having trouble with playing videos through Proclaim to our projectors. No matter how we upload the videos, the audio is off with the picture. Any fixes or best practices we should know about?

At 胡桃河市日系基督教會 of Walnut Creek (CA, USA), I'm going through the 篠田乃室 ShinoDa Hall upgrade proposal; two wired screens (one Landscape, one 90° Portrait to accommodate @-fonts) are what I envisioned. Application: 1920x1200; Slides: 1920x1080; Alternate Output: 1080x1920. We've a budget proposal for an ASUS® Pro WS-W790-SAGE SE planar, but we were NOT expecting that the intel® XEON® W7-3455 MPU (FCLGA 4677) was only supported by crossdraft coolers, NOT downdraft; so I put fansinks on three PCIe 5.0 SSDs to compensate. We've also an emachines®/acer® EL1210-09 (as upgraded wi' the AMD Athlon x2 BE-2450 CPU) driving a projector on the center beam. THAT goes to OpenLP™, as ubuntu® 24.04.3-LTS DOESN'T support LOGOS® Proclaim®.
    2. We've had this issue from time to time, particularly with larger video files. Our workaround has been to save the videos on the local computer running Proclaim and reimport them making sure that "use on this computer only" box is checked. So far, that has always fixed audio sync issues. So far!
    3. I was caught out by this a few months ago, by some upgrade changes. Have you checked that the sound is enabled. It is at the top of the video If the video has uploaded, without a warning, I would think it is the sound not being turned on.
  • For some reason the last verse of our scriptures are duplicating multiple times. This has happened for multiple weeks. We have tried deleting and re-adding the scriptures, but it is not specific to any one scripture. We have also shut down the program, made sure everything is updated, but nothing has helped. Has anyone else had this happen and found a solution? It makes it really difficult to find our scripture references during the message. Thanks!
    1. Are you using lower thirds, ? This can happen if your lower thirds slides has more slides than the main output. If you reuse the Scripture slide from the previous week, the lower third slides may have not updated. Making sure those match up may help.
    2. Yes we do lower thirds. Thanks for the heads up...we'll take a look.
    1. Pretty amazing work. Certainly useful in the right church setting.

I LOVE YOU LORD / Multiple artists (CCLI Song# 25266) ( Laurie B. Klein ) House Of Mercy Music, ASCAP I presume?
    2. The credits are at the bottom of the picture. And yes, it's the song you describe. A beautiful song of worship!
  • Trying to use Proclaim Remote as a confidence monitor, however I cannot seem to see the count down in the upper corner for a confidence timer. Is this just a setting I am missing, or just a feature that isn't working as expected yet?
    1. currently, the remote shows its own confidence template, not the one you choose in Proclaim. So unfortunately it's a simpler view without the dynamic items like the clock or timers. Feel free to leave a product suggestion here: https://community.logos.com/categories/feedback-proclaim We use this site when considering new features
  • Why do bulletins keep being auto-created? I've turned off the option in settings... but every time I create a new script in Proclaim, I have a bulletin added.
    1. The same thing happens to me. I am wondering if it needs to be taken off in the sanctuary computer where Proclaim is used "on air". I was going to try it this week.
    2. I think they always get auto created. It will just be a draft and won’t be published if you turn that check mark off.
    3. Nope, my is off and still publishes???
  • how can i load a pdf as a slide?
    1. I'm afraid you can't load a pdf as a slide, . Many pdf editors have a "save as" function that allows the file to be saved as a jpg or png. That may be the best option.
    2. As I understand things, LOGOS® Proclaim® is NOT compatible wi' the Adobe Systems Portable Document Format. Recommend exporting the slides as Portable Network Graphics.
