    1. This week for ABF... Lesson 10: The Restoration Promised (Hosea 14:1-9) Lesson Summary: God promises to forgive all who turn to Him in repentance. Memory Verse: Hosea 13:4 We finish our four 4-week exploration into the book of Hosea. In spite of all that God has done for Israel, the nation refused to listen to His warnings and continued their idolatrous practices. Though God's judgment would be severe, He promised to show compassion and not utterly destroy them. In chapter 14, God promised He would restore His people. This will be the last ABF gathering for this calendar year! We will not have ABF on 12/25/22 and 1/1/23. Icebreaker: Speaking of restoration, if you could get back one thing that has been lost, stolen, or destroyed, what would it be? See you Sunday!

This week for ABF... Lesson 9: The Hollow Promises (Hosea 10:5-15) Lesson Summary: God's judgment will be experienced by those who reject Him. Memory Verse: Hosea 10:10 We continue our 4-week exploration into the book of Hosea. Like a watchman blowing his horn to warn the city of an imminent threat, Hosea sounded the alarm to Israel that the Lord was coming to destroy them. He's pointed out the vanity of their false religion and self-made protection against threats. The people have allowed their relationship with the Lord to erode over time. It didn't happen overnight but each step led them closer to God's judgment. Icebreaker: If you had $ 2 million tomorrow, what are the first three things you would do or buy as soon as you had the check in your hand? See you Sunday.

          For the prayer requests listed.
          1. This week for ABF...(yes, we have ABF this weekend) Lesson 8: The Hollow Promises (Hosea 6:1-7:2) Lesson Summary: God despises false repentance, delighting instead in undivided loyalty. Memory Verse: Hosea 5:15 We continue our 4-week exploration into the book of Hosea. The story continues with Hosea and Gomer. We expect our friends to be loyal. We want friends who keep their word and our friends should expect that from us. Why would it be different when it comes from God? God remains loyal to His people and expects them to be loyal to Him in return. Icebreaker: Speaking of loyalty, besides family and friends, what is one thing that would be very difficult for you to give up in your life? See you Sunday. Praying your Thanksgiving celebration is a joyous one!
            1. Please pray.

For the requests listed. Also be in prayer for those traveling for the Thanksgiving week, especially our Pastor. Also, pray for those struggling this holiday season with the passing of loved ones.
              1. This week for ABF... Lesson 7: The Unfaithful Bride (Hosea 1:2-9; 3:1-5) Lesson Aim: God offers grace to people even when they are unfaithful to Him. Memory Verse: Hosea 2:23 We start a 4-week exploration into the book of Hosea. This book has some startling imagery that could jar our western sensitivities. God is calling His prophet to marry someone who will be unfaithful. On its surface, this makes no sense to us but God is giving us a picture. While you may be unfaithful to me, I will show grace to you. Icebreaker: Speaking of unfaithfulness, there is a Top 10 list of "unfaithful cities", can you guess which cities made the list of unfaithful? See if you can come up with some and we will come together Sunday to compare.
                1. Please pray.

For the requests listed. Update to request: At the time of this posting, Abigail S is currently at the ER with possible pneumonia. Pray that the doctors have wisdom as they provide the best course of action to take. Thanks!
                  1. This week for ABF... Lesson 6: No Compassion (Jonah 4:1-11) Lesson Aim: Believers should celebrate God's grace being extended to all people.  Memory Verse: Jonah 4:4 Jonah preaches his message and the people of Nineveh repent and God relents. Jonah is upset with God for not punishing them for what they did to his countrymen. God's grace is for all, not just those we like.  Icebreaker: Speaking of not liking things, what is your biggest pet peeve? See you Sunday!
